Meghan Markle has issued a pointed reminder to everyone – including Prince Harry – that she remains very much her own woman. But one royal watcher has believed the couple are heading in different directions. The Duchess made a solo appearance at a screening of Cookie Queens, the Girl Scouts documentary she executive-produced, and was spotted without her engagement ring.
Royal insiders claim the omission was deliberate, with one telling Closer magazine she is “too media savvy to accidentally step out without her ring”. The source added it was “almost like she’s reminding everyone, including Harry, that she’s still the independent, self-assured, driven woman he fell in love with”. Speculation continues about the couple’s increasingly separate schedules, with Meghan handling Netflix talks and LA meetings while Harry focuses on charity work and mending fences with his father. Though they still share meals and family time, the days are said to pass quickly as the pair are pulled in different directions.

Prince Harry’s claims about what King Charles was like as a father when he was younger have been disputed this week, with a Palace source now shedding light on what life was like behind-the-scenes for the family. In his 2023 memoir Spare, The Duke of Sussex painted his father in not the most complimentary way, suggesting he could be cold and distant.
However, these claims have now been questioned, especially since Prince Edward’s ex-girlfriend Ruthie Henshall revealed in her own memoir, The Showgirl And The Prince, that Charles seemed very affectionate with his sons. She wrote specifically about a moment at Balmoral Castle when she came across Charles playing games with Harry and William. Now, a Palace insider has also revealed what King Charles was really like as a father to Harry and William growing up, further disputing Harry’s claims.

The Royal Family, like all of us, are not perfect. But there are two royals who seem to be getting certain things right, with their approach explaining just why they get on so well with Prince William and Princess Catherine.
These royals are, unsurprisingly to some, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie. While they were not really given much attention by royal fans for years, their popularity over the last few years seems to have shot up like a rocket. And the praise they now get is thoroughly well-deserved.

Brits appear to think Prince Harry “represents the Royal Family better” than two very popular royals, a surprising new poll has shown. The Duke of Sussex, who quit royal duties in 2020, scored higher than working royals Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie in the Daily Express’ poll, which asked readers which royal they feel represents the family better.
While Harry was nowhere near the top scorer, with just 42 people out of the 2446 people who took part in the poll answering that Harry was the royal who best represented the Royal Family. Only 10 people thought Prince Edward represented the Royal Family best, and only 29 people thought the Duchess of Edinburgh did. This may have come as a surprise to many, especially as Edward and Sophie are popular royals, and Harry has not been a working royal for six years.

A pregnant singer has revealed what Meghan Markle said to her at a gala in Canada last week. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised royal fans as they stepped out last Friday at a David Foster 40th anniversary celebration for his foundation in Victoria, Canada.
The couple were all smiles throughout the evening as they enjoyed good food, watched performances, and even posed for photographs on the red carpet. Both Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, also got the chance to meet some of the gala performers. This included pregnant singer Pia Toscano, who performed “Feeling Good” at the gala.

Meghan Markle found herself in an awkward moment with a Hollywood legend last week, and insiders have now shed light on what truly transpired.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a rare joint public appearance last Friday, August 7, at the David Foster Foundation 40th Anniversary Celebration in Canada.
On the red carpet, Prince Harry and his wife beamed warmly as they posed for waiting photographers. In footage that has since gone viral, the couple was seen being approached by David and his wife, Katharine McPhee.
Meghan’s outfit choice for the occasion drew comparisons to Kate Middleton’s signature style.
As Meghan extended her arms to greet the celebrated composer in the widely-shared clip, he appeared to walk straight past her without any acknowledgement. The Duchess of Sussex swiftly composed herself, withdrawing her arms and turning towards her husband.
