Loose Women star Charlene White previously shared how she “worked out” that her ex-partner was cheating on her.

The TV presenter – who is on Talking Royals today (September 21) – has been loved-up with partner Andy Woodfield for almost 10 years. They are proud parents to a son named Alfie and a daughter named Florence.

However, finding ‘The One’ was not exactly an easy feat to achieve for Charlene, as she was previously faced with heartbreak after discovering a cheating ex’s antics.

In 2024, Charlene opened up about an ex-partner and recalled how she figured out he was being unfaithful to her.

“When my gut sort of kicked in with a former partner of mine, it was my car that showed me what was going on,” Charlene revealed during an episode of Loose Women.

Charlene continued: “He would often borrow my car and I just thought something was a bit off. Because if I was working night shifts, he’d borrow my car because his wasn’t working.”

Charlene thought ‘something’s not right’

Thinking something strange was going on, Charlene went on: “Because I thought something’s not right, I started to make note of the mileage on my car.

“I’d write it down in the notebook and then the next time I’d use the car, I’d make a note of the mileage that was on the car and then I’d work out the difference.

“And I sort of knew how far away this other person lived and I’d worked out how many miles it was from my house and then I’d minus the mileage.”

Charlene then said that this “confirmed” her suspicions. This was because her partner told her he was using the car to go to his mum’s house “two miles down from the road”.

She added: “There’s a difference between two miles and 30 miles. And so I worked it out from that.”

Fast forward a few years, though, and Charlene found her perfect match. The journalist and broadcaster reportedly met partner Andy at a mutual friends’ party. She later spoke about how they clicked and she knew he was ‘The One’ straight away.

Shortly after, they had moved in together and were soon expecting their first child. Writing in The Guardian in 2017 she said: “I knew from the moment I met him at a friend’s party the year I knew he was The One. So, after moving in together, having a child seemed like the next natural step.”

Last year’s Strictly winners, Dianne Buswell and Chris McCausland, are reportedly “not allowed” to work together during this year’s season due to the tight schedule Strictly Come Dancing demands.

The pro dancer and comedian were partnered on the show last year, making history as Chris was the first blind contestant on the show. They eventually won, developing a beautiful friendship along the way. Since then, they have started a podcast together called Winning Isn’t Everything, a reference to what Dianne’s father told her when she was first paired with Chris.

On Friday (19 September), the day before Strictly’s launch show, Chris took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share a worrying update about the podcast. A fan wrote: “Chris!! Your podcast can’t be ending, I spend all week wishing it was Thursday. We were robbed with a shorter one too this week.”

Chris responded by sharing that it was, unfortunately, something that could happen. “It’s a possibility,” he said. “At the minute it doesn’t look like Dianne will be allowed to do it through Strictly.”

The strictly scheduled is notoriously tight, with couples sometimes spending hours in the rehearsal room. Fans have previously expressed concern for Dianne’s wellbeing as they were worried about her putting herself through such a tough schedule given she has recently announced she is pregnant.

The Australian dancer took to social media last week to share that she and partner Joe Sugg – who she danced with on Strictly in 2018 – are expecting their first child together. She is the first person to compete on the show whilst pregnant and is said to be taking the Strictly and all its rehearsals at her own pace with regular breaks.

An insider told the Daily Mail: “There are duty of care and welfare measures in place for everyone working on Strictly. As with all sessions, there will have been regular breaks and rest/warm-up periods, and the rehearsal will have been led by Dianne and tailored to the pace of her and her partner.”

For her pregnancy announcement, Dianne and Joe uploaded a video to their social medias. Fittingly set to the Elton John son Tiny Dancer, the two set up a canvas and pretended to paint before swivelling the picture around to reveal a painting of three stick figures. One represented Dianne, with her signature red hair, another represented Joe and a third, much smaller stick figure represented their baby.

The painting also said, “2026” on the top, but this was the only information they gave about the due date. However, Joe did reveal a baby detail in his caption. Along with the video, the YouTuber said: “Our little baby boy we cannot wait to meet you.”

Dianne and Joe made it to the final when he appeared on Strictly, but were beaten to the glitterball by Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who are also in a relationship now. Dianne has been in the final a total of three times, the third being with EastEnders’ Bobby Brazier. However, she has only won the once.

She also won a BAFTA for her most recent series as her waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone with Chris was voted the year’s most memorable moment.

Hollywood icon Robert Redford died on Tuesday aged 89, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Utah. The actor and director was inundated with tributes following the sad news, as stars from across the silver screen paid their respects.

He is best known for his roles in classic films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, All the President’s Men, and Out of Africa. Cindi Berger, chief executive and chairman of talent agency Rogers and Cowan PMK, confirmed the sad news on Tuesday.

She said: “Robert Redford passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home at Sundance in the mountains of Utah–the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved.

‌

 

“He will be missed greatly. The family requests privacy.” Robert’s personal life was every bit as colourful as his characters on screen, and he leaves behind a wife and two surviving children.

He was twice married, first to Lola Van Wagenen from 1958 to 1985 and later married Sibylle Szaggars in 2009. Robert welcomed four children with Van Wagenen: the late Scott, Shauna, the late James, and Amy.

It is believed Robert built an impressive fortune of $200million throughout his life, according to Celebrity Net Worth. His fortune may be left his his environmental artist wife Sibylle, 68, and his children Shauna, 64, and Amy, 54.

Among Robert’s huge achievements was founding the Sundance Institue, which is a non-profit that supports independent film makers. They host the annual Sundance Festival, which is believed to be the largest independent film festival in the US.

Following the sad news, they said: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our founder and friend Robert Redford. Bob’s vision of a space and a platform for independent voices launched a movement that, over four decades later, has inspired generations of artists and redefined cinema in the US and around the world.

“Beyond his enormous contributions to culture at large, we will miss his generosity, clarity of purpose, curiosity, rebellious spirit, and his love for the creative process.

“We are humbled to be among the stewards of his remarkable legacy, which will continue to guide the institute in perpetuity.”

The Hollywood star set up home and his Sundance Film Festival in Utah, having “fell in love with this place”. Utah’s govenor Spencer Cox shared: “He cherished our landscapes and built a legacy that made Utah a home for storytelling and creativity.

“Through Sundance and his devotion to conservation, he shared Utah with the world. Today we honour his life, his vision, and his lasting contribution to our state.”

Tributes from Hollywood including Star Trek actor William Shatner, who said: “Condolences to the family of Robert Redford.” Colman Domingo thanked Robert for his “everlasting impact,” which he says “will be felt for generations”.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis also shared: “A LIFE! FAMILY. ART. TRANSFORMATION. ADVOCACY. CREATION. LEGACY.” Robert’s family have decided to delete his Instagram account following his death.

Holly Willoughby is said to be quietly preparing the next phase of her career, with husband Dan Baldwin stepping in to help steer the plans. After some time away from the spotlight, the couple are said to be putting together a strategy that could mark her biggest return yet.

Sources claim Holly’s aim is nothing less than a primetime slot, with the ambition to rival the likes of Graham Norton and Jonathan Ross. “Anyone who has written Holly off has another thing coming,” an insider revealed.

“She’s never been more determined. The next move is going to be spectacular, and Dan is her secret weapon.”

The former This Morning presenter, 44, who met Baldwin through work back in 2004, has faced a turbulent few years both personally and professionally. Her career slowed after she left daytime TV in 2023, while Baldwin went on to notch up a string of successes, including the reboot of Gladiators.

Holly then withdrew from public life to focus on her family – Harry, 16, Belle, 14, and Chester, 10 – and only dipped back into screens with Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt alongside Bear Grylls, which was sadly axed after one season.

Now, with her children older and more independent, she is said to be considering a return on her own terms.

“This isn’t a new thing – Holly has always had ambitions way beyond the This Morning sofa,” the insider explained. “She can see herself being the first big female primetime chat show host – a bit like a female Jonathan Ross. She’s 45 next year and she’s ready to go solo.”

Willoughby has always been most visible as part of a presenting duo, particularly with Phillip Schofield, but her focus now is on standing alone. She wants the top guests, the best slot, and the chance to finally carve out her own space in evening television.

The Duke of Sussex turned 41 on 15 September, just days after his historic meeting with his father at Clarence House – their first face-to-face contact in 19 months. While their get-together lasted just 54 minutes, it has been seen as a major step forward in rebuilding royal bridges.

But there are no signs of a reconciliation between Harry and his brother or sister-in-law – and royal expert Duncan Larcombe believes their lack of public acknowledgement of his big day is a sure sign they’re still smarting from his past wrongdoings. “Kate’s silence spoke a thousand words,” Duncan exclusively tells OK!. “They didn’t post anything on his birthday, which the royals normally would do. So Kate’s message was loud and clear: the ball’s not in our court, Harry – it’s in yours.”

Duncan adds that, due to strict royal protocol, the couple can only make their feelings known with subtle signals. In this case, it seems their silence did the talking. “Neither Kate, nor William, can speak out publicly about Harry and Meghan,” he explains.

“They have kept silent throughout all of this and rolled with all the punches, so they’re forced into subtle, secret messaging – which is what this seems to be. “They’re not prepared to call Harry’s bluff by sending him joyful birthday wishes, so they remain silent and avoid him at all costs.”

But Harry, who has expressed a desire to bring his children back to the UK for visits and have them enjoy a closer relationship with their British family, is said to be eager to paper over the cracks in their relationship.

“I think Harry would love William and Kate to forgive him and Meghan,” says Duncan. “He’s been cast out, so why wouldn’t he want to come in from the cold? But equally, I’m not sure Harry has done anything to demonstrate publicly his desire to reconcile with his brother and Kate, and let bygones be bygones.

“As for Meghan, she has shown no signs of wanting reconciliation with any of the royals – she’s living her dream and promoting her own career. I don’t think she cares about what Kate and William think of her. She’s in her own Meghan bubble.”

Last year, to mark Harry’s milestone 40th, both Charles and William and Kate publicly sent birthday messages. “Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” the royal family ’s official social media handle posted in 2024. The post was re-shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ joint page. Yet this year, the silence was deafening.

Some believe this could be due to the fact that the prince’s recent birthday isn’t a significant milestone, while others have argued that the royals may have been preoccupied with President Donald Trump ’s recent state visit.

But Duncan says last week’s snub, and the fact that they didn’t meet up during Harry’s four-day visit to the UK, is a clear indication that William – and in particular, Kate – are struggling to forgive and forget.

During their 2021 Oprah interview, Meghan claimed that Kate made her cry – and not the other way around, during their now-infamous row over bridesmaid dresses. The accusation was later corroborated in Prince Harry ’s 2023 memoir, Spare.

“Let’s not forget, Harry and Meghan branded [Kate] a liar, which is pretty hard to forgive,” says Duncan. “So they clearly made the decision that they didn’t want to meet Harry when he was back in the UK – in fact, they almost went out of their way to avoid him.

“They are not ready for any reconciliation, but King Charles was probably put in a difficult situation with Harry’s high-profile visit, as in some ways if he hadn’t met him, it would have been a bigger story. But that doesn’t apply to William. He’s still reeling at his brother because of the things that have been said about his wife – the personal attacks on Kate.”

While Harry may have received the cold shoulder from his sister-in-law, the same couldn’t be said back home in Montecito, California, where he celebrated with Meghan, 44, and their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

On the morning of his big day, Meg posted a photo of her husband in military uniform, writing, “Oh hi, Birthday Boy” followed by a fire emoji. And just days earlier she publicly toasted Harry’s return to the US with a snap showing two glasses of her As Ever rosé wine, along with the caption, “When your beau is back in town…”.

While it’s clear William and Kate might not be itching for Harry to return to the UK, it seems the Duke of Sussex’s meeting with the King has paved the way for future visits. Asked if he would like to bring his children back to Britain, he responded, “This week has definitely brought that closer.”

Sadly, we can’t see William or Kate rushing to a cosy family reunion any time soon. “The last time Harry was in London, William wasn’t even in the same country,” says Duncan. “And it’s three years since the Queen’s death, which marks three years since Kate and William even saw Harry and Meghan. That’s a long time. They’re still clearly furious with Harry, so never mind reconciliation – it looks like relations are as sour as ever.”

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly launching a range of products that will put them in direct competition with Meghan Markle and her As Ever range – particularly her jams which have been mired in contrioversy. David and Victoria are said to be planning to utilise the produce grown on the couple’s Cotswolds farm by launching a shop featuring his goods.

One of the products the 50-year-old is believed to be planning is a range of jams. The couple are also said to be hoping to eventually launch their own wine and gin. Meghan currently sells As Ever wines as part of her range. David already has his own snack range Bee Up, created from the honey gathered from his hives. He has become very adept at beekeeping and frequently shares his honey tips on social media. Victoria has also shown her husband’s jam jam-making prowess, working with plums grown on their farm, in a September 7 Instagram Story. The Spice Girls singer gushed, “I’m impressed” as David whipped up several batches in their kitchen while testing different recipes.

The cheeky video came just a week after their son Brooklyn gave his social media followers a tutorial on how to make jam.

This prompted some supporters to suggest that Victoria and David’s latest post about their homemade jam was a subtle jab at both their son Brooklyn – who recently crafted his own preserve – and Meghan, who boasts her own selection of fruit spreads.

In the video, she quips: “So we’ve had a weekend of cooking … Well you have, I’ve been watching! You’ve been making lots of jam and look what you’ve made – David Beckjam!

“He’s very proud. How many Beckjams have you made darling? You’re quite the entrepreneur.”

A source told Radar Online: “Vic has big plans, and while the project will mainly be handled by their eldest team, she and David will be front and centre of the launch and any publicity.

“They’re also thinking about branching out into wines and gins, while Vic can see herself designing some country interiors.”

“It could easily be something to rival Meghan’s As Ever brand – Vic knows she has the background and expertise to blow her out of the water if she wanted to.

“There’s a potentially huge market in the US for English country living and both David and Victoria know how to make it a success,” the source explained.

Katie Price’s boyfriend has sent a defiant message to online trolls. JJ Slater, who shot to fame on the 2023 series of Married at First Sight UK, has revealed his experience and the reception he got from viewers at home. Speaking to Express Online on behalf of Casino.org, the Essex lad spoke about why he applied for the show and what he would have done differently. When he first appeared on the show, JJ tied the knot with Bianca Petronzi; however, the marriage came to an end. So much so, JJ admitted that Bianca wasn’t “his type” on their wedding day. JJ ended up starting to explore another relationship with fellow bride, Ella Morgan.

Speaking about his experience, JJ detailed: “I just wanted to feel that spark and be attracted to my wife. I guess I was standing there hoping, first, that I’d actually be attracted to her, and second, that we’d get along, that she’d be a good person, and that we could build and grow something together. That was really my mindset going into the show – I was committed to taking the experiment seriously.”

He added: “For me, that initial attraction just wasn’t there. I’ve got nothing bad to say about that person at all, but from my side, there just wasn’t any chemistry, not romantically and, honestly, not even on a friendship level. There’s no bad blood whatsoever, but I just didn’t feel that connection.”

When asked about how he deals with online trolls, JJ responded: “There was definitely a lot of hate and trolling. At the start, I wasn’t ready for that at all; it honestly hadn’t even crossed my mind. It wasn’t until my first episode aired that my best mate said to me, ‘Mate, you’re getting battered on Twitter.’

“And I don’t even use Twitter! At first, I laughed it off and joked about it, thinking it was fine. But over time, it did start to take a toll on me. I found myself reading comments, worrying about what people were saying, and thinking.”

He added: “Now, though, it’s been two years, and there are probably more opinions about me in the papers now – not every day, but close – and honestly, I don’t even bat an eyelid anymore.

“At first, it was really hurtful and overwhelming, but now it’s like a switch has flipped. I just let it go over my head because, at the end of the day, these people don’t actually know me.”

Following his stint on the dating show, JJ met Katie Price and the pair confirmed their relationship in February 2024.

Eamonn Holmes and his girlfriend Katie Alexander were seen together on the red carpet at the Icon Awards, as Katie was seen tenderly placing her hand upon his back. The GB News host was smiling as he appeared in excellent spirits at the glamorous ceremony, which took place in east London.

This marks the first occasion that Eamonn, 65, and Katie Alexander, who is 22 years younger, have been spotted publicly together since reports surfaced that the “honeymoon” period of their romance had drawn to a close.

Sources suggest that the extravagant getaways and costly gifts are failing to provide the necessary spark to revitalise their relationship, with Eamonn now allegedly dedicating more time in Belfast alongside his family – minus Katie.

They revealed: “He’s grumpier than ever and his health problems [he has chronic back pain] really aren’t helping but, instead of moving closer to Katie and settling, he’s spending more time with his family in Belfast, often without her. The lavish gifts and the swanky holidays don’t seem to have made him any happier.”

According to the publication, his colleagues at GB News share the same sentiment. One remarked that “he’s a miserable goat even on a good day.”

They continued: “He goes into GB News in the morning, and he moans and moans. It seems to be fizzling out for him. He is very low – the only thing that cheers him is going to work, he loves working.”

Beloved Good Morning Britain star John Stapleton has died aged 79 after battling Parkinson’s disease. His agent announced in a statement: “John had Parkinson’s disease which was complicated by pneumonia. His son Nick and daughter-in-law Lisa have been constantly at his side and John died peacefully in hospital this morning.”

It comes a year after the GMTV and and Daybreak legend revealed his condition in an emotional interview on BBC One’s Morning Live.

Tributes have poured in from John’s GMB co-stars, as Susanna Reid penned: “So so sad to hear of John Stapleton’s death. He was a legend in broadcasting, the consummate pro and always good-humoured and gracious to work with. A huge part of GMB’s story and television history. Sending love to John’s family.”

Charlotte Hawkins wrote: “So sad to hear John Stapleton – our ‘Stapes’ has died. He was such a brilliant broadcaster and I loved working with him on GMB. A genuinely lovely man, it was good to see him when he came in just a few months ago to talk about his Parkinson’s diagnosis. He’ll be much missed.”

His experience stretched back to when he was a cub reporter on the Yorkshire Post. On his first day alone in the office, he took a call from the police to say that they were starting to dredge the moors looking for what they feared were the bodies of murdered children.

“He found himself less than an hour later at the scene of one of our nation’s most horrific crimes. Others will pay testimony to his incredible career better than I, and I hope they do but all I can say is he was most generous co partner, always lifting who was along side him up , never crushing or ramming that he knew better ( which he did!) down their throat, never taking over and always always fair , truthful and honourable.

“Huge fun too – no one told a story down the pub better than John. We will not see his like again . Thinking of his son Nick and all who knew and loved him.”

Appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain in October, John said of his diagnosis: “There’s no point in being miserable. It won’t ever change.

“I mean, Parkinson’s is here with me now for the rest of my life. Best I can do is try and control it and take the advice of all the experts.”

His wife, Lynn Faulds Wood, with whom Stapleton presented Watchdog, died from a stroke in 2020.

One of the stars of The Chase has indicated they may leave the popular show.

 

Having joined hit ITV quiz show The Chase in 2009 Mark “The Beast” Labbett has hinted he could quit the show. His revelation comes just weeks after he stormed off the show over a huge defeat which cost ITV £100,000. The star, who claims to be the “best Chaser in the world”, has confessed that while he loves working on the show, it is a “part-time job” and he alluded to being open to offers for a full-time role.

Mark has already branched out from the tea time show appearing on both the American and Australian versions. He also appears opposite his fellow Chasers Anne “The Governess” Hegarty, Darragh “The Menace” Ennis, Shaun “The Dark Destroyer” Wallace, Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan and Paul “The Sinnerman” Sinha in the prime time spin-off Beat the Chasers. However, it appears he is hoping to branch out beyond the world of the show. Speaking at the recent National Television Awards, Mark, who also appeared on Celebs Go Dating, said: “I take great pride in being, as I modestly put it, the best Chaser in the world… I love my job.

“At the same time – it’s a part-time gig. I won’t deny it if I’m lucky enough to get a good offer somewhere else for a full-time gig. But until that time, I’ll keep working,” he told MailOnline.

His confession comes just weeks after he was seen storming off stage during a dramatic episode of Beat The Chasers which saw ITV lose £100,000.

Although the show, which sees contestants answer single questions for £1,000 each before taking on Chaser to increase their prize money, was filmed in advance the epsiode only went out earlier this month.

A contestant called Gavin had built up a prize pot of £4,000 in the cash builder and when he had to decide how many Chasers to take on Mark upped the ante by offering him the chance to win a six-figure sum if he went up against five Chasers with just 40 seconds to win as much money as possible.

“I’m gonna reduce the time to 40 seconds on our clock… and you’ll be playing for £100,000,” he offered him. Unfazed Gavin accepted the offer in a bid to scoop the massive prize pot.

He then went head-to-head with Mark, and his fellow Chasers Paul Sinha , Anne Hegerty (The Governess), Jenny Ryan (The Vixen) and Darragh Ennis (The Menace).

While Gavin made some simple errors, like saying that Gomez was the head of The Munsters and not The Addams Family, he soon managed to get into a winning streak of correct answers.
