Brits had mixed opinions after Princess Andre’s reality show, The Princess Diaries, was confirmed for two more series.

In August, The Princess Diaries debuted on ITV2, which documented the 18-year-old’s family and personal life.

“Being so honest on the show wasn’t easy, but your love and support has meant the world to me. Thank you for watching and for all the kind messages,” she wrote on Instagram following the first series.

The Princess Diaries confirmed for a second series

Today (October 16), The Princess Diaries has been confirmed for another two series, which will air next year. The launch episode garnered 1 million viewers, and the show has been streamed 6.4 million times to date.

“Princess dominated side bars and social media throughout the summer and as our streams show, the ITV audience wholeheartedly embraced her. Now reality fans can look forward to not one but two more chapters in Princess’ story as we line up two new series for next year, as Princess embraces independence and adulthood,” Commissioning Editor for Reality and Entertainment, Amanda Stvri, at ITV, said.

The Creative Director for Optomen, the show’s production company, Tina Flintoff, praised Princess, stating that she is “such a pleasure to work with”.

“We’re delighted the series did so well and that we’ve been given the opportunity to continue bringing her story to life. Princess has so many exciting ventures planned over the next six months and we can’t wait to share them with her fans,” she added.

Following the news, many fans were excited about the return of the reality show.

However, many weren’t pleased to hear the huge news.
