Good Morning Britain sparked fury minutes into their ITV breakfast show following a fresh Prince Harry and Meghan Markle update. On Friday (September 11), Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh returned to the airwaves to deliver the latest news hitting the headlines. It didn’t take long for things to turn royal after reports that Prince Harry is set to embark on a charity tour as he settles back into British life.
The Duke of Sussex will lead several charity events this month, just one month after he returned to Blighty with his wife, Meghan, and their two children. He will attend the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards and the launch of the Invictus education programme INSPIRE.

The dad-of-two will also be taking part in one of his favourite annual occasions, the WellChild Awards, in his first public appearances since returning to the UK. Kate welcomed royal correspondent Hannah Kings onto the show, who reported live from outside Buckingham Palace as she discussed the Duke’s upcoming events.
She told viewers: “The events we’ve been told about are with charities we know are close to the Duke of Sussex’s heart. He’ll be going to the WellChilds event, and that’s an event that Harry flew over for a number of times when he lived in the US. So now he’s back in the UK, it’s perhaps not surprising that he’ll be there again.
“He’ll also be working with his armed forces charity, the Invictus Foundation. There’s a new award ceremony for them, and Harry will be going to a school where he’ll be joining in, this time with a game of pickleball, a racket sport which is new to the Invictus Games next year.”
It didn’t take long for viewers to flock to social media to share their fury at Prince Harry’s upcoming public appearances. One user fumed: “They will both be on stage claiming they care deeply about amputees and the disabled,” as another pointed out: “So are other non-working royals, but you keep elevating Harry and Meghan as if they’re ‘special’.
“They are the worst of the worst, and I bet they will struggle to gain major new charities.” A third chimed in with: “The private citizen so afraid of being harmed by the public is serving himself on a silver platter. I hope the public ignores his private engagements so he can’t accuse anyone of trying to harm him. He is looking for trouble to get FREE security.”
Meanwhile, others supported the Duke’s charitable efforts, with one user posing: “It’s funny that the one they call a private citizen who is earning his own money is the one that’s doing more work than the taxpayer-funded royals lol.” Another echoed: “He’s doing more public work than the lot of them”, as a third chimed in with: “Prince Harry is doing amazing [yellow heart emoji].”
