Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were dealt a humiliating blow on ITV’s beloved talk show, Loose Women, as the couple made their highly anticipated return to the UK. While the Duke of Sussex has been in the country since Monday (July 6) in support of next year’s Invictus Games, the return of Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, hung in the balance. Their highly publicised return was uncertain after Harry was told the family would not be given police protection if they came to the UK. Despite this, on Thursday, it was reported that his family would be coming to Britain after all, with the prospect of a meeting with King Charles for the first time since 2022.

Since then, Buckingham Palace have confirmed that the private reunion went ahead. With no photographs and Queen Camilla in attendance, Loose Women released a poll asking fans: “Do you want Harry & Meghan back in the Royal family?” In a brutal blow to the couple who left the UK for California in 2020, a staggering 75.9 per cent of viewers voted “No.”

Meanwhile, only 24.1 per cent of viewers voted: “Yes.”
The poll sparked a major debate in the comments as one fumed: “No, they belong to America, who actually wants them there. Also Harry said no. He has reiterated this many times.”

As another raged: “What a stupid poll question – regardless of their location or quality of relationships, they will always be in the Royal Family.”
“They stepped down as working Royals. Harry didn’t leave his family. Charles still his father Harry is still his son. There is a bloody difference,” argued a third.
“They are already part of the RF. Harry is Charles’ son. I wish they would be on civil terms with this fund over. That’s the best outcome,” added another.
In their significant moment of reconciliation, King Charles and Queen Camilla welcomed Harry, Meghan and their children to Highgrove House, the monarch’s private Gloucestershire residence.
For the King, it was his first encounter with his grandchildren in four years and merely his second meeting with Lilibet, who was born in California.
Palace sources have confirmed that no photographs or details from the private family occasion will be made public.
It was expected that, after seeing his father, Prince Harry, Meghan and their children would visit Althorp, Princess Diana’s ancestral home, after being invited to stay by his uncle, Charles Spencer.
Harry has maintained a close relationship with his mother’s side of the family and reportedly wants to take his children to see his mother’s grave on the estate’s grounds.
