Good Morning Britain returned to screens with presenters Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins fronting ITV’s breakfast programme. As they revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were Monday’s (August 24) top story, many viewers took to social media with frustration. This comes after the Duke’s long-running row about security was said to have been granted, ahead of his UK return and despite his recent court defeat.
Charlotte revealed: “It’s expected that security will be granted to him, Meghan and their children upon their return, and the bill estimated to be £5 million a year, will apparently be paid for by the taxpayer. Not the palace or Harry.” Richard continued: “No official comment from Buckingham Palace over the Sussexes’ imminent return despite the Royal Family all meeting up in Balmoral.” As the discussion continued, one viewer took to X/Twitter and fumed: “More anti-Harry and Meghan bulls**t on #GMB… Time to switch off.” A second question: “Why is Harry and Meghan the top story? Surely this is a joke?”

A third blasted: “GMB are OBSESSED with H&M! SICKENING!” As another remarked: “Harry & Meghan …..Boring, boring, boring .”
“Boring. Next story … what should the Government do about millionaire tax avoiders? If they didn’t avoid paying it & actually paid that tax into the British system, it would bring in £??? million,” stated a fifth.
As one viewer fumed: “Oh God!! You’ve been going on about them through the entire show. Many people are sick of hearing about them … Stop giving them the airtime!!”
