Prince William and Kate Middleton are determined that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return will not impact their lives, according to reports.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans to move to Britain from their Montecito, California, home by the end of August. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are already said to be registered at UK schools, with the couple planning to live in a non-royal property outside of London.
King Charles and his eldest son were simultaneously notified of Harry and Meghan’s moving arrangements, with William purportedly “adamant” there can be “no way back” for the duo to return to The Firm after stepping down as senior working royals in 2020.
Since departing the UK, Harry and Meghan have become financially self-sufficient from the Royal Family and have took part in multiple revealing interviews discussing their time within the institution, including Harry’s autobiography, Spare, which contained multiple accusations against his family members, reports the Express.
Sources close to William and Kate have disclosed that although they “cannot forgive” the Sussexes for their harmful assertions against The Firm, they are committed to “looking forward to the future.” Yet the relationship between the two couples was notably friendlier when Meghan initially came to the UK to be with Harry.

When the Duke of Sussex introduced his partner to his brother and sister-in-law, Kate is reported to have described Meghan as “friendly.”
However, in his book, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, The Mirror’s royal editor, Russell Myers, revealed Kate had another three words to describe her future sister-in-law.
The book claimed that upon meeting Meghan, Kate found her somewhat overly familiar with a “touch of California”. Furthermore, the Princess of Wales is said to have been less committed than her husband to preventing Harry from withdrawing from his royal responsibilities, reportedly viewing his exit as “inevitable.”
Kate is also believed to have felt that Harry would always want more than a “bit part” role within the royal family, and that she “could do no more to bring the brothers together.”

Previously, the Princess of Wales had been considered a calming influence as the divide between Harry and William continued to widen.
This comes as Harry and Meghan’s return could “backfire badly,” according to an expert.
Lynn Carratt, a PR expert and director at E20 Communications, has shared her concerns about whether the Sussexes can win over the British public.
“There is a danger,” Lynn began, “If their return begins to look like a calculated attempt to revive their celebrity brand through renewed proximity to the monarchy, it could backfire badly.”
Continuing, the expert explained, “The British public will be watching carefully to see whether this really represents a new chapter or whether it is followed by another round of interviews, documentaries and revelations.”
Lynn then revealed that the “smartest PR strategy” for the couple would be “less is more,” and advised them not to do “another explosive interview.”
“They don’t need another dramatic rebrand. And they certainly shouldn’t immediately monetise any reconciliation with the Royal Family,” she concluded.
