Stacey Solomon Reveals Security Fears Behind Pickle Cottage Exit as She Moves Into £2 Million Country Home

Stacey Solomon has revealed that security and privacy concerns played a major part in her decision to leave Pickle Cottage, as she settles into a new £2 million countryside home with husband Joe Swash and their family.

The Loose Women star surprised fans earlier this week when she confirmed that the family had moved out of the Essex property she had long described as her dream home.

Now Stacey, 36, has explained that the move was not simply about finding more space for animals, gardening and family life.

She admitted that the amount of information previously shared about Pickle Cottage had eventually created concerns about how easily the property could be identified.

Giving followers a glimpse inside the new house on Instagram, Stacey made clear there is one thing she plans to do very differently this time.

“I’m not going to show the outside of the house this time around, just for security and privacy reasons,” she wrote.

“We had some issues at Pickle Cottage in the end, and it’s safer to just not show the building itself.”

Stacey Says She Will Keep New Home More Private

Stacey has shared extensive renovation and decorating content with followers over the years, often taking fans inside family spaces and documenting major transformations.

But she now appears determined to set firmer boundaries.

“I can’t wait to properly have some days off work and show you all around,” she told followers, while stressing that exterior shots of the new property would remain off limits.

Her concern about home security is not new.

Back in 2021, fans asked Stacey to share a complete floor plan of Pickle Cottage.

She refused, admitting she worried that showing the entire layout could make the house easier to target.

“So many of you have asked me this one,” Stacey said at the time. “I would love to do full house tour from the front door all the way through and put floor plans up but I’m scared it’s a burglar’s dream.”

She added: “Am I being paranoid or is it a burglar’s dream to show the floor plans and layout? Not that I have anything to rob.”

Family Wanted More Room to Grow

Security was not the only motivation behind the move.

Stacey previously explained that she and Joe wanted a property where they could “rescue more animals and grow more vegetables.”

The couple eventually chose another countryside home in Essex.

According to reports, the new mansion has eight bedrooms and six reception rooms, although its outdoor space appears to have been the biggest attraction for the family.

Joe explained their thinking in a joint video announcing the move.

“We have found somewhere where we can see our family growing and flourishing, and this is the place I think,” he said.

Stacey also warned fans that the property would require considerable work.

“It does need a lot of love,” she said.

A New ‘Pickle Project’ Begins

Despite her decision to keep the exterior private, Stacey has already shared a few carefully chosen glimpses of the family’s new chapter.

One photograph showed Stacey, Joe and their five children sitting near the front entrance, while another featured Stacey holding the keys to the property with a smiley-face keyring attached.

She captioned the post: “Home is wherever I’m with you… Pickle Project, Here We Go.”

The move marks the end of a major chapter for Stacey, who built much of her lifestyle content around Pickle Cottage and frequently brought followers along for its renovations.

But the experience appears to have changed how much of her private life she is willing to put online.

Fans can still expect plenty of interiors, DIY projects and family updates from the new house.

What they will not be getting this time is a detailed look at the property from the outside.

After the security concerns Stacey says developed at Pickle Cottage, she has made one boundary very clear: the new family home may be part of her content, but its exact appearance and layout will remain far more private.
