Brooklyn Beckham’s fans have criticised him harshly as he announced his latest career venture. The 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to share a clip of himself making some fresh homemade strawberry jam.

In the step-by-step video, Brookyln prepared the strawberries, cooked them, and then served up the finished product on a slice of sourdough bread before jarring up the rest. He handed a piece to a woman, who stayed out of shot, but cut the film before he had a taste for himself. He captioned the clip with two simple words: “Strawberry jam x”. Despite the sweet treat looking absolutely delicious, the foodie was hit with harsh criticism – with some fans comparing him to Meghan Markle while others demanded that he “get a job”. Referring to Meghan’s jam that she sells through her As Ever business, one Instagram follower wrote: “First Meghan, now you! What’s the obsession with strawberry jam? Anyone can make it… [eyeroll emoji]”.

Another quipped: “The new Meghan Markle,” followed by three crying laughing emojis. One more person fumed: “Get a proper job that pays your lifestyle!”

However, some fans quickly jumped to Brooklyn’s defense. “All the trolls out in full force again with totally boring and irrelevant comments. Just spreading the hate and spite,” one said.

The 26-year-old regularly shares his cooking skills online and recently flew back to the UK for one very special dish. He teamed up with renowned chef Michel Roux Jr. in the Wigmore restaurant kitchen at the Langham Hotel.

During the clip, shared on Instagram, Brooklyn insisted the meal was the only thing he would fly back to the UK for – as he snubbed his famous parents completely.

The young Beckham and his family were last photographed together on Boxing Day 2024, and he has seemingly not spent any time with them in the UK since then.

Brooklyn has yet to address his and Peltz’s drama with his family, which first made headlines in April with reports that Brooklyn and his brother Romeo Beckham were at odds. The couple were then notably absent from David’s 50th birthday

Freddie Mercury’s alleged “secret daughter” has made a bombshell claim about the Queen frontman’s death – blaming his alleged over Barbara Valentin for his passing. Freddie died four years after being diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, passing from complications of the disease in November 1991 at the age of just 45.

Valentin was close friends with Mercury, who lived with her and her daughter in a Munich apartment. But his “secret daughter”, known only by B, claims she “took him deeper” instead of keeping him grounded. She said of Barbara, who died in 2002: “No one can deny her significance in Freddie’s life throughout the two years that their relationship lasted.

“Had she adopted the same attitude as Mary, and had she tried to keep Freddie’s feet on the ground rather than taking him deeper, his immune system might have resisted the virus for significantly longer,” she said, via MailOnline.

She added: “Instead, she gave him whatever he wanted, and became his partner in debauchery, depravity and decadence.”

B claims to have been unintentionally conceived during an affair with the wife of a close friend in 1976. She is now 48, living in Europe, and working in medicine. B has been the subject of a biography by Lesley-Ann Jones, and wrote in a handwritten letter: “Freddie Mercury was and is my father.

She claims Freddie entrusted 17 handwritten journals to her, “the closest thing to a Freddie Mercury autobiography that the world will ever know”. The claims were apparently already common knowledge among the Queen star’s inner circle – but Brian May’s wife Anita Dobson branded it “fake news”.
