Cat and Ben spoke about Christmas shopping on This Morning
This Morning viewers have been left horrified over the ITV show’s latest segment – on how AI can help with Christmas shopping. Today’s show saw presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard welcome consumer expert Grace Farrell onto the show to chat about how AI tools like Chat GPT can be used ahead of the festive season.

Grace appeared on the show to share how tools like Chat GPT can be used to find deals for certain brands across different outlet sites. She also showed viewers how to find Christmas-related events to go to in the weeks leading up to the holiday.
“I cannot understate how useful AI tools are when it comes to saving you time and money, especially as we enter this really busy shopping period. I think a lot of people are put off by the idea of AI.” Grace said. “Everything I’m going to show you this morning is really easy to use.”

However, not all viewers were happy with Christmas being mentioned on the programme with 15 weeks still to go. “Don’t even mention Christmas until mid November at the earliest. It is over 3 months away ffs! #thismorning,” one viewer wrote on X.
Another said: “I used to work in an airport, Christmas decorations inc trees were always up end of September. Music playing in October. It should be law that no decs should be up before 1st December. Retailers can stock from November. #thismorning.” A third complained: “I don’t want to start Christmas shopping now! #thismorning.”

“Oh you’re shocked over Christmas talk… Same time next year then? #ThisMorning,” a third said. A fourth wrote: “Christmas starts early in retail. Happens at the same time every year so I don’t understand why people are still so surprised by it. #thismorning.”
Today’s show had a bit of shake-up thanks to The Morning Show star Reese Witherspoon stopping by to chat about the Apple TV+ series. Viewers were left begging for the Hollywood actress to join This Morning’s presenting line-up after she filled in for Cat Deeley.
Taking the show into an ad break, Reese read: “Do you want me to do Cat? Ok! Coming up next on This Morning, there’s more drama for Carla on Corrie and is Emmerdale’s John wearing any pants under that hospital gown?
“We’re gonna find out. Sharon Marshall has all the latest from your favourite soaps – and did you know it’s already time to start thinking about your Christmas shopping. We’ll be revealing how AI can save you time and money. Right here, on This Morning.”
