CONGRATULATIONS! This Morning star confirms baby news with her famous husband and reveals their baby’s very interesting name.
Former Coronation Street and This Morning star Nicola Thorp has announced she is expecting her second child with husband Nikesh Patel.
The 37-year-old actress and broadcaster shared the happy news on Instagram, posting a series of photographs showing off her growing baby bump.
Keeping the announcement playful, Nicola captioned the post: “Sparking pregnancy rumours…”
One image showed Nikesh, 40, posing beside his wife with a surprised expression as he placed his hand on her bump, while another captured their young daughter sweetly kissing her mum’s stomach.
The couple are already parents to a daughter, who was born in January 2024.
Their latest announcement quickly attracted messages of congratulations from Nicola’s famous friends and former colleagues.

Carol Vorderman was among those sending her best wishes, writing: “Mahoosive congratulations missus.”
Former Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver was equally delighted, saying Nicola’s daughter would make “the best big sister”.

This Morning doctor Nighat Arif added another enthusiastic message, writing: “Wowsers!!! Massive congratulations! You guys are adorable.”
Nicola’s announcement marks another major family milestone for the couple, who have been together since 2021.
They became engaged two years later before marrying in the summer of 2024.
Nikesh is also a familiar face on television, with roles including The Devil’s Hour and comedy series Starstruck.
The pair previously appeared together on the fifth series of Celebrity Hunted in 2023.
Although they tried to evade capture on the Channel 4 programme, they were eventually caught along with the other celebrities taking part that year.
Nicola Found Fame on Coronation Street
Blackpool-born Nicola became widely known through her role as Nicola Rubinstein in Coronation Street.
She played the daughter of villain Pat Phelan between 2017 and 2018 before returning for additional episodes the following year.
After leaving the ITV soap, Nicola became a regular television commentator.
She appeared on This Morning alongside figures including Nick Ferrari before later joining TalkTV.
Her career has extended beyond acting and broadcasting, with Nicola also becoming known for campaigning on a number of social and political issues.
In 2024, she welcomed a government announcement that police would be given greater powers to reveal the identities of online stalkers.
Nicola had previously spoken publicly about her own experience after a man created multiple online accounts to send her messages.
Reacting to the measures at the time, she said stalking victims had too often been failed by the justice system.
She argued that the changes could give victims more control while helping police hold offenders accountable.
Family Prepares for New Arrival
For now, however, Nicola’s focus is firmly on her growing family.
Her Instagram photographs showed a much lighter and more personal side of life, with Nikesh and their daughter both involved in revealing the pregnancy news.
The couple have not shared further details about the baby, including a due date.
The announcement nevertheless made clear how excited the family is about welcoming another child.
With their daughter preparing to become a big sister and messages of congratulations flooding in from friends and colleagues, Nicola and Nikesh are entering another major chapter together.
