Good Morning Britain was inundated with complaints over the ongoing coverage of Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex’s trip to the UK marks the first time he’s been in the country since losing a legal battle over his security in the country. During Tuesday’s (September 9) edition of the morning programme, Ranvir Singh joined presenters Ed Balls and Susanna Reid to share the rest of the day’s news. This included Prince Harry laying down a wreath for his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle on the first day of his trip.
But the main news was that there was no sign of a reconciliation between Harry and his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William. The GMB report left viewers furious as they flocked to complain online, with several hitting out at the Duke. One wrote: “Laying a wreath, more for the public image, she might have lived a bit longer without the stress, that would have been a gift.”

Another raged: “How do you know? Were you there ? Did he actually leak to the press that he lay flowers on his so called ‘private’ visit. He is using you to rewrite history. He made his grandparents’ life miserable with his jealous attacks and you people just let him whitewash that. What a joke.”
A third agreed: “If Harry wants to gain anything back? Make it about others not himself all the time ? Take a leaf out of his grandmother’s book.”
A fourth weighed in: “He should remember all the pressure he put on the queen when she was ill. He is a busted royal flush! No one cares.”
Other viewers criticised GMB for its focus on the royal family’s potential reunion, with one writing: “Why should there be? Neither party wants one.”

A second posted: “Why are mainstream British media in England so desperate for Prince Harry to make up with his Dad or Brother. Harry is in England for work. If King Charles wanted to see his Son would of sorted it long time ago. People forget Harry has his Diana side of the family support.”
The once inseparable brothers have been at loggerheads for some time and their feud was only exacerbated following the release of his bombshell memoir Spare in 2023.
But hopes for a possible royal reconciliation were sparked earlier in the summer, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s aides were spotted having a meeting in London with those of King Charles. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case as Harry had no reported interaction with his family members, despite being just miles apart.
During his visit, Harry attended the WellChild Awards, a charity event celebrating the courage of seriously ill children and their carers.
