Coleen Nolan admits she’s nervous about daughter’s pregnancy

During the most recent episode of Loose Women, Coleen Nolan opened up about finding out she had a half sister when she was in her 20s. The ITV star made the revelation on the show, which recently saw one presenter make a career announcement, during a conversation regarding a new book about the former Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. It claims that during her long marriage to Dennis, Margaret reportedly had two extramarital affairs.

The ITV star then posed the question whether or not it was ever ok to disclose past infidelities, years after they’ve taken place. Nadia had strong views on the matter, stating how the allegations could impact a lot of external people, especially family members.

Christine replied: “Even the people who they’ve had the alleged affairs with, they have children, they might not have known anything about this, I think that’s quite a tough thing to potentially deal with.”

Coleen then made the revelation that she had another sibling she didn’t know about as a result of her father’s infidelity.

She commented: “I think a lot of people, especially probably from that era, which is like my mum and dad’s era and all of that.

“I think they did keep it to themselves, it wasn’t something that they shared and they didn’t have the media that we have nowadays.

“When I was in my mid to late 20s, was when I found out from my mum that I had a half sister, that I never – none of us knew anything about.

“So my dad had had a liaison with another lady who got pregnant at the same time my mum was pregnant. I think if anything, it probably affected my sister, who she was carrying at the time.

“It probably affected her more because it was around the time that she was pregnant with her. But yeah, it was shocking.”

However, Coleen explained that her mother stayed with her father and went on to have five more children.

When asked if they had kept it a secret from everyone, Coleen said it was just kept between.

She added: “It was their decision to keep, obviously, for us, then we searched for our half-sister, but we never got to find her. It is quite a shocking thing to find out.”
