JUST IN: Prince Harry humiliated with five words from Nigel Farage
Nigel Farage has taken aim at Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex suffered an awkward technical problem during a major speech in New York.
Harry was speaking about the dangers posed to young people by artificial intelligence and social media at the Clinton Global Initiative when his teleprompter suddenly stopped working.
The Duke paused before telling the audience, “And that’s it,” and leaving the stage earlier than planned.
A spokesperson for Harry later confirmed that the teleprompter had malfunctioned. He returned around 40 minutes later to complete his remarks once the problem had been resolved.

Addressing the viral moment on his programme, Farage introduced footage of Harry’s speech before offering his own view on relying on an autocue.
“What The Farage moment, it’s Prince Harry giving a speech,” he said, according to the Daily Express report.
Farage then delivered the five words at the centre of the exchange:
“I don’t use any autocue.”
He continued by explaining that he believes relying on one creates the risk of exactly the kind of technical problem Harry encountered.
“Because I always think if you use autocue things can go very badly wrong,” Farage said.
The comments were Farage’s personal criticism of Harry’s presentation rather than an assessment of the substance of the Duke’s speech.
Harry’s Speech Suddenly Stops
Harry had been discussing online harms and the rapidly developing risks posed by artificial intelligence when the technical failure occurred.
Before the interruption, he warned that AI was becoming more deeply involved in people’s relationships and argued that greater protection for children was urgently needed.
“The damage was already done to a generation of children and parents,” Harry said.
“We do not have years for what comes next.”
He then paused for several seconds before saying: “And that’s it.”
Although the unexpected ending attracted considerable attention online, it was not the intended conclusion of Harry’s appearance.
His spokesperson confirmed there had been a fault with the teleprompter.

Harry was invited back onto the stage approximately 40 minutes later after other speakers had appeared.
Rather than ignore what had happened, he joked about the technical failure.
“Hello again. So AI got into my speech, so I was asked to come out and finish it,” Harry said.
He then completed the second part of his address.
The episode therefore did not ultimately prevent Harry from delivering his full message, although the unexpected interruption became one of the most widely discussed moments from the appearance.
Farage Uses Moment to Make His Point
Farage seized on the incident to reinforce his own preference for speaking without an autocue.
His five-word remark — “I don’t use any autocue” — was presented as a warning about what can happen when a speaker becomes dependent on the technology.
