THE fate of Destination X has been ‘revealed’ – after the BBC axed TV’s most expensive flop ever.

The Rob Brydon-led series sees contestants try and figure out where they are in Europe based on a series of clues and challenges.

The X-bus has blacked out windows and so any clues they can gather along the way are essential, as each episode, the person who marks their X furthest away from the actual location is sent home.

In the end, one person will walk away with £100,000.

Now it has been reported that the BBC has ordered a second series of Destination X.

A show insider told the Daily Star: “Everyone at the BBC thinks Destination X is a cracking show, so they want to bring it back in 2026.

“It’s a clear sign that they have faith it could become one of the biggest shows on TV.”

The news comes after The Sun exclusively revealed the BBC had decided to axe another of its big money shows.

Challenge show Survivor has been cancelled despite splurging a reported £30million on the reboot.

The decision means the reality programme is being seen as television’s most expensive flop.

After the new version tanked in the ratings, there had been speculation that a second series was paused.

Now, host Joel Dommett has revealed that it has gone for good.

Former I’m A Celebrity star Joel, 40, said: “It just shows you how nothing is a given in telly.

“I thought Survivor would be huge. I thought that would be my job for the next 20 years.

“I’ve done shows and thought that’s not coming back and it keeps coming back and then you do something like Survivor, which you think is guaranteed and it doesn’t come back.”
