UNACCEPTABLE! Prince William to be thrown ‘into an apoplectic rage’ over Harry’s next steps
Prince William could face a fresh source of tension with Prince Harry if reported plans for a new Princess Diana documentary move forward, according to a royal commentator who believes the project could reopen one of the brothers’ most sensitive disagreements.
The speculation comes as William and Princess Kate mark a major family milestone, having recently taken their eldest son Prince George to Eton College.
But while the Wales family focuses on George’s new chapter, attention has also turned back to Harry and Meghan Markle amid claims they could be considering a documentary about Diana, with Meghan reportedly involved in the narration.
Neither Harry nor Meghan has publicly confirmed such a project.
British broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner said the idea alone could prove deeply difficult for William, given how protective both brothers have traditionally been of their late mother’s legacy.
“Rumors abound that he will make a documentary about Diana, with Meghan doing the commentary,” Pelham Turner said.
He suggested Harry would likely be cautious about any public project after previous highly publicised disputes involving the Royal Family.
Diana Project Could Reignite Brotherly Tensions
The prospect of Harry revisiting Diana’s life publicly has drawn particular attention because of the already strained relationship between the brothers.
Harry has previously told parts of his own story through his 2023 memoir Spare and the six-part Netflix series he made with Meghan.
Those projects prompted criticism from some commentators who argued that private family matters had been taken into the public arena.
Pelham Turner suggested a Diana documentary could prove even more sensitive.
He argued that if Harry and Meghan were to tell Diana’s story through friends, family and personal commentary, William could see it as another escalation in a feud that has shown little sign of easing.
“Personally, I feel this will throw William into another apoplectic rage,” he said.
He even speculated that the brothers could eventually find themselves involved in competing documentary projects, with King Charles caught between them.
There is no confirmation that William is planning any such production.
Harry’s Previous Media Projects Remain Part of the Debate
The discussion has also revived comparisons between Harry’s public storytelling and Diana’s own decision to work with biographer Andrew Morton.
Diana contributed to material used in Diana: Her True Story, but the circumstances differed significantly from Harry’s later publishing deal.
Harry reportedly received a substantial sum for Spare, while his and Meghan’s Netflix work also became a major commercial project.
Critics have pointed to those ventures when accusing the Sussexes of turning royal experiences into media content.
Supporters, however, have often framed Harry’s approach as his attempt to tell his own version of events after years of intense public scrutiny.
For William, any future production about Diana would inevitably carry personal weight.
The Prince of Wales has repeatedly been described as protective of his mother’s memory, and his relationship with Harry has remained distant following years of public disagreements.
Pelham Turner believes that is why a documentary led by Harry, particularly one involving Meghan as narrator, could become especially contentious.
He also suggested Harry may be aware that such a project would attract a reaction from his brother.
That remains speculation, and no formal details about a documentary have been announced.
For now, the idea sits at the centre of another round of royal discussion rather than a confirmed production.
But with William and Harry already separated by years of strained relations, any future project revisiting Diana’s life would almost certainly attract intense scrutiny.
And if the reported plans do move forward, it could become another difficult test of a relationship that remains far from repaired.
