Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris McCausland has left fans feeling “very disappointed” following a recent career update. The comedian, who made history on the BBC One show last year by winning the glitterball trophy with Dianne Buswell, has been keeping fans in the loop about their friendship via social media and their weekly podcast Winning Isn’t Everything.

However, Chris has now raised concerns among his followers after hinting that the podcast may be coming to an end as Dianne gears up for the next series of Strictly, which kicks off this weekend.

One fan queried Chris on X: “Chris! Your podcast can’t be ending, I spend all week wishing it was Thursday. We were robbed with a shorter one too this week.”

To which Chris responded: “I’m afraid it’s a possibility. At the minute it doesn’t look like Dianne will be allowed to do it through Strictly.” Fans were left devastated, with one lamenting: “Nooooo Thursdays won’t be the same without you two ! Maybe she will be able to when BBC realise how popular it is.”, reports Wales Online. Another added: “Hopefully after Strictly it could come back.”

A third expressed: “Very sad and disappointed if that’s the case. I look forward to listening every Thursday and never missed an episode. The connection with you and Dianne shows on the podcast and I will really miss it, entertaining, funny and provides some comfort and relief from a crazy world.

“So disappointed to hear this today! ! Thursday’s just won’t be the same without you pair to brighten up the day! ! What can we do to get you back on air? ?” another penned.

The BBC chose not to comment when contacted. Chris and Dianne have reunited for the pre-recorded launch show, where they’ll perform their Bafta award-winning waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone once again.

The professional dancer is also making history by participating in the competition whilst pregnant, having announced earlier this month that she’s expecting her first child with YouTuber Joe Sugg, whom she met on Strictly in 2018.
