As the BBC’s popular dance show nears its conclusion, fans are already on the lookout for their next ballroom indulgence – and they won’t have to wait long. On Christmas Day, viewers will tune in to see a glittering line-up take to the BBC ballroom for one festive performance.
This year holds extra significance as it marks the departure of long-time hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, after 21 years presenting the show.
This year’s festive roster includes Scarlett Moffatt and Vito Coppola, Jodie Ounsley (aka Gladiators star Fury) and Neil Jones, Nicholas Bailey and Luba Mushtuk, Melanie Blatt and Kai Widdrington, Brian McFadden and Michelle Tsiakkas, and Babatunde Aléshé and Nancy Xu.
But they’re not the only ones gracing the renowned dance floor this year, as it’s been announced that Strictly hosts Tess and Claudia will also step onto the stage for their final dance, reports the Express.

However, the results of the festive extravaganza have already been disclosed, weeks before the scheduled broadcast. Although the BBC doesn’t officially announce who has been eliminated from the show, spoilers have been circulating online since 2012.
The couple who won over the judges has been revealed after filming took place on Tuesday (December 9), though Devon Live has chosen not to reveal the names of the pair who clinched the glitterball trophy.
However, it’s worth noting that the results sparked a wave of discontent among viewers, many of whom vented their frustration on X (previously known as Twitter).

A third declared: “Won’t be watching Strictly again even at Christmas,” with a fourth fan chiming in: “Not going to waste my time watching [shifty eyes emoji], for protest for Lewis and Katya.”

Ahead of the Christmas special airing, fans can look forward to this year’s Strictly final, with the last five couples set to take the stage in this weekend’s semi-final.
This comes after Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and Katya Jones ended up in the dreaded dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, despite both pairs receiving high scores from the judges.
Lewis and Katya were eliminated from the competition, meaning that Amber will join George Clarke, Karen Carney, and Balvinder Sopal in the semi-final.
This weekend, each duo will showcase two new routines, with additional performances from Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue and boyband Five to round off the weekend. Audiences will need to keep watching to find out which couples will make it through to the live final next weekend.
