BBC Breakfast viewers were informed of two tragic incidents within just minutes
BBC Breakfast was interrupted for a devastating announcement just moments into the show. Jon Kay and Sally Nugent were back on the red sofa on Monday 27 July 27 and featured the tragic report that two people have died and several others wounded in a sh00ting.
The incident took place at Seattle’s annual food festival, Bite of Seattle. Presenter Jon explained: “Two people have been killed and at least five more have been injured after a sh00ting at a food festival in Seattle.”
The BBC host continued: “Among the injured is a two-year-old boy after gun shots were heard at the Seattle centre at around six o’clock local time last night. The city’s mayor says one person has been taken into custody.”

Assistant chief of Seattle Police Tyrone Davis has now confirmed that the sh00ting has resulted in three de@ths, reports the Express. Two people died at the scene, while a third victim has since died from their injuries after being rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
Amongst those in hospital are a two year old boy, a 39 year old woman and a 23 year old man, all of whom remain in “stable condition”. Seattle City Mayor Katie Wilson revealed that one suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, has been arrested.
Police confirmed they had begun hunting for a second suspect. Moments after sharing this news on BBC Breakfast, Jon delivered viewers another tragic announcement.

He revealed that four people, including a baby, have died in a car crash in Derby: “Four people, including a baby girl, have died following a collision off a dual carriageway in Derby on Saturday night. Derbyshire police said the car left the A38 and crashed into trees around 11 o’clock in the evening.”
“The driver, a 33-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing de@th by dangerous driving.”
Derbyshire Police said two women, aged 18 and 30, and a 36 year old man and were declared dead at the scene. The baby girl was taken to hospital, but pronounced dead shortly after.
