BREAKING NEWS: Harry and Meghan just screwed up Beatrice’s plans – and it’s about to get even worse
Princess Beatrice finally had peace in the Cotswolds but the wrong royals just turned up and every fragile truce around her is about to snap.

Oscar Wilde said “to lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness” – yet for Princess Beatrice having both her parents off the radar has been a godsend. But now Beatrice faces a triple whammy as not only have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rocked up on her doorstep in the Cotswolds, but her mum Sarah Ferguson is also returning to the UK.
Beatrice has suffered a hellish 12 months, starting in summer 2025 when newly unearthed emails proved Fergie remained in touch with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein long after she claimed she cut off contact. Then her parents lost their Duke and Duchess of York titles, while her father saw a stream of titles – including ‘Prince’ – and military honours stripped. Her dad was now plain Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
In January Beatrice and younger sister Princess Eugenie were both sucked into the scandal thanks to the release of the Epstein Files.
They revealed Fergie and her daughters flew to the US to meet Epstein after his release from prison and that embarrassment, along with her parents’ shame, appears to have heaped even more pressure on Beatrice’s marriage to property developer and Italian noble Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 42.
According to royal author Andrew Lownie these deluge of revelations about Andrew’s friendship with Epstein in the Files have allegedly created a ‘distance’ between the young couple.
The files also showed Fergie gushed and fawned over Epstein in a stomach-churning way – such as asking the then convicted paedo to “marry me” and calling the child sex offender the “the brother I have always wished for.”
Beatrice was almost banned from attending Royal Ascot, until King Charles stepped in with an olive branch to invite her. In the end she never went anyway.

So being seen out and about in the UK with Fergie at the moment is toxic for her image.
And now add to Beatrice’s hellish mix – royal outsiders and shakers Harry and Meghan are rocking up on her Cotswolds doorstep too.
The Sussexes have ruffled more feathers than a Las Vegas chorus line and Prince William and Princess Catherine in particular will be non-plussed to see them back on our shores.
So Beatrice has to walk a careful line with them, or risk being seen by royal watchers to have ‘sided’ with the pair over the future king and queen.
Basically Beatrice is now in ‘no-man’s land’. She must pop on her tin helmet and hide in the trenches and hope it all blows itself out.
