Meghan Markle has been urged to take her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to see their grandfather, Thomas Markle, for the first time. The Duchess of Sussex, who has been estranged from her father since 2018, has not seen her dad for years following numerous scandals.
This began in the lead-up to her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, when it was revealed that Thomas had arranged paparazzi shots of himself that ended up in publications around the world. A private letter from Meghan to her father was later published. Since 2018, Meghan has not been believed to have seen her father; she reportedly did contact him in some way last year following his leg amputation.

Now, royal fans have said they want Meghan to take Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, to see their grandfather.
While Archie and Lilibet therefore know one grandfather, they still have never met the other.
After hearing that Thomas Markle is likely to be “devastated” that the King has had the chance to see them, while he has not, here at the Daily Express, we launched a poll asking whether Meghan should take her children to see Thomas.

The poll ran from 1.45pm on July 19 to 11.30pm on July 20.
A total of 724 people voted “yes” – Meghan should take her children to see her father. Only 27 people voted no, while 11 others said they didn’t know.
Meghan has not commented on her relationship with her father for some time, but it is believed they remain estranged.
Thomas has always shown an interest in reconciling with his daughter and meeting his grandchildren. He once called it “cruel” that he had never had the chance to see them.
