Meghan Markle was hit with a brutal takedown on Sky News as podcast host Kinsey Schofield made a guest appearance to discuss reports of the Duchess being left “humiliated” after her recent visit to the UK. During the Rita Panahi show, the host explained: “Meghan Markle felt humiliated on Prince Harry’s most recent UK trip, and that the trip turned into a nightmare, forcing Markle and her children to return home to California earlier than they had hoped.” Addressing Kinsey, Rita added: “It’s also been reported that Markle’s frustrations came from the couple not receiving taxpayer-funded security and not being allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace.
In her blistering response, the Unfiltered Podcast host pointed out: “And her husband lost big in court, who wants to be seen on the arm of a loser.” Kinsey added: “I think that this trip was a reality check. Harry has spent years insisting he can be half in and half out of the monarchy, and the British public just reminded him that’s not how it works.”

The American commentator continued: “If you look at the media that was generated while he was there, for the most part, he was mostly rejected. The nightmare wasn’t just the trip; it was discovering that the privilege of royalty doesn’t automatically survive after you quit your job.”
During the Sky News Australia segment, Rita chimed in to claim that the reaction was “hostility or hate from the British public, it was just disinterest. Which I think they probably despise more than anything because they want attention.”
A source via People claimed Meghan was left “humiliated” as issues with the accommodation, security and the high court loss, overshadowed the family’s united and highly speculated UK return.
Royals reporter Russell Myers told the publication that Harry’s trip “turned into a nightmare” after security issues meant Meghan Markle, 44, and their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, returned to California earlier than they had intended.

The outlet also reported that a source familiar with the Sussexes said Meghan would have felt “humiliated” as she watched Harry and the royal institution clash over arrangements for the visiting family.
Another insider said the Netflix star “is very supportive” of Harry but added there was “a lot of sadness” over how the trip unfolded.
While a separate insider claimed Meghan “always lets [Harry] lead” when it comes to handling his relationship with his family.
On Friday (July 10), Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla had hosted the family at Highgrove House and described the meeting at the King’s private home in Gloucestershire as a “private family occasion”.
This marked the first time the King had seen his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, in person in more than four years.
While Prince Harry and Meghan had not been in the UK together since 2022, when they attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
