Prince Harry’s interview on This Morning very nearly descended into chaos after he was left red-faced by presenter Alison Hammond’s bizarre request. The Duke of Sussex was interviewed in Birmingham during his UK visit, where he made an appearance at the NEC event marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. After a game of laser shootout with the beloved ITV star, Alison interviewed Prince Harry about the touching initiative behind the event.
The royal then revealed that his kids, Prince Archie, seven and Princess Lilibet, five, were huge fans of her. This then prompted Alison to ask the Duke about his hilarious impression of her on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. After Harry remarked: “It was a huge hit,” Alison suggested: “I live in Birmingham, are you going to come round to my house today or a little bit later?” Prince Harry was visibly taken aback by the request and went bright red as he hesitated: “Uh, maybe.”

Inviting the Royal for a meal of Ackee and Saltfish, an excited Alison beamed: “Let’s do it!” to which Harry replied: “Alright, let me think about it.”
“Alright, have a think about it. I’ll go and get everything ready at the house, a little tidy up, bleach my toilets,” she laughed.
This prompted the Duke to joke: “Why do you need to tidy up? I’ll come and bleach your toilets.”
After the mum of one then asked: “Can I come to the Invictus Games next year as well?” Prince Harry nodded: “Of course, you can.” As Alison revealed: “I’ll bring my son and everything.”
“I’ll be disappointed if you weren’t coming,” the Duke concluded before hugging Alison and waving goodbye to the cameras.

Viewers quickly took to social media with their reaction to Alison’s invitation, as one stated: “Prince Harry must be thinking ‘wtaf?’ #thismorning.” (sic)
Another ITV viewer remarked: “Alison Hammond was actually doing *so* well there with a serious interview, and then she suddenly reverted to type, asked Harry round to her house, and made it all about her.”
A third added: “You know that he isn’t coming to do your toilets right, Alison… right?”
Meanwhile, a fourth praised: “Alison is just brilliant.”
During their chat, Prince Harry also opened up about his family after the ITV presenter probed: “Your kids and Meghan must be so proud of you. Do they tell you every day?”
The Royal responded: “they don’t tell me every day that they’re proud of me, but yeah, I’m proud of them. I love my family.”
