Royal Fans Outraged: Meghan Markle ‘dangled Archie and Lilibet like a carrot’ to keep major royal onside

Meghan Markle has come under fire over her purported motives for bringing her children to see King Charles.
King Charles and Queen Camilla received Prince Harry, 41, Meghan, 44, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, at Highgrove House – his private country residence in Gloucestershire – on Friday (July 10).
TalkTV host Mark Dolan characterised it as “symbolic” that Meghan had returned to royal grounds, with Sarah-Louise Robertson, the editor of Digital Spy, concurring.
She said: “Indeed. This was something that no one could have predicted a couple of years ago. We know Meghan was adamant that she was staying in California and would never set foot on English soil again unless someone was going to put a crown on her head.
“Maybe that’s what she thinks is going to happen in the future. Things have changed. Meghan and Harry’s American dream hasn’t worked out the way they thought it would.”
Sarah-Louise suggested that Meghan’s apparent desire to repair relations with the Royal Family derives chiefly from supposed financial benefits.
She continued, “It always comes back to finances with these two. The money hasn’t come rolling in. It hasn’t been a juggernaut of cash, which is what Meghan envisaged those years ago when she was working out Megxit.
“The coffers are drying up. Meghan is astute and wants to curry favor with the King because they want to call on his services. How do they do that? They have the gift of grandchildren.
“Those grandchildren have been dangled like a carrot over the King’s head as a way to keep him on side. It sounds manipulative.”

While she argued that Harry and Meghan desire their children to forge a bond with King Charles, she indicated their primary motivation derives from the fact that he “happens to be Britain’s ruling monarch”.
Sarah-Louise went on: “It’s dawned on Meghan what a gift she had when she was almost given the keys to the castle when she married Harry back in 2018. She threw it all away because she wanted to be a big Hollywood star. That hasn’t worked out.”
She added that Meghan now realizes she needs to get back into King Charles’ “good books.”
She additionally observed that Meghan now understands the significance of restoring herself to King Charles’ good graces, viewing it as the “answer to all her problems.”
Sarah-Louise made a clear differentiation between Meghan’s intentions and Harry’s, maintaining that the Duke of Sussex genuinely wishes for a family reconciliation and is “yearning” to return to his homeland.
“For the last year, Harry has had a yearning to be back in the UK. He’s missing England. The California dream was lost on Harry way before it was lost on Meghan,” she said.
“It’s not really lost on Meghan. She wants to stay living in California, but she wants the kudos of the King on her side and the cash that comes with it.
“Harry’s not interested in that side of things, he wants to be back in England. He wants to try and get things back on track with his family.”
Sarah-Louise proceeded to claim that Meghan is presently appeasing Harry, though purely because she considers it will ultimately prove financially beneficial to her.
