Prince Harry has received a major blow as royal fans voted that he should not be allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace this week. The 41-year-old is currently on a week-long trip to attend various events for the Invictus Games.
The royal has travelled to the UK on his own. His wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were previously joining him. After his request for taxpayer-funded security was denied, it was decided that Meghan and their children would not travel to the UK.
It was previously reported that King Charles had offered his son a royal residence to stay at during his visit, with the offer later accepted. However, due to the late response, Buckingham Palace later withdrew the offer.
In a poll conducted by the Daily Express, royal fans were asked if Harry should be allowed to stay at Buckingham Palace.
Of the 3,718 people who voted in the poll, which ran between 4pm on July 6 and 7pm on July 7, a staggering 3,362 voted that Harry should not be allowed to reside at Buckingham Palace this week.
In the poll, just 311 people voted that he should be allowed, while an additional 45 people voted that they were unsure.
Taking to the comment section, one fan commented: “No of course he shouldn’t. He needs to accept that he is a nothing to the British people. He is irrelevant here. And he needs to stop being disruptive and disrespectful. The British public has no time for him.”

Another added: “No he shouldn’t stay at Buckingham [Palace]. Too late he had a deadline and his dad has pulled up the drawbridge to teach him a lesson.”
As well as appearing in London at his first event for the Invictus Games, Harry lost his unlawful information-gathering lawsuit against the Daily Mail’s publisher, Associated Newspapers Ltd, earlier today.
It is understood that each of the Duke of Sussex’s 14 claims for different articles has been dismissed.
