GB News was paused for a chilling update on the Ann Widdecombe murd3r case today (July 21), weeks after the former MP was found dead at her home in Devon. The broadcaster’s home and security editor Mark White had the latest updates as murd3r suspect Joshua Kerry appeared in court for the first time today.

White alleged: “This is extremely disturbing and of course much more so for those who knew and loved Ann Widdecombe. We’re told that Ann Widdecombe [allegedly] d!ed as a result of blunt force trauma – she was bludgeoned to death, hit over the head with a hammer some 21 times. Now, this new information has come to light at Westminster Magistrates’ Court when 28-year-old Joshua Kerry appeared there – his first court appearance since being charged with the murd3r of Ann Widdecombe.

Ann Widdecombe 'repeatedly hit with hammer in kitchen', court told

“This man was arrested at his home in Rotherham some three days after Ann Widdecombe d!ed. She d!ed at her home, Widdecombe’s Rest, in the village of Haytor Vale in Devon, on Wednesday 8th July.

“Now according to the prosecutor, Kashif Malik, who outlined the case, Ms Widdecombe was in the kitchen of her home. She had sat down to have her lunch when, according to the prosecutor, she was attacked and she was bludgeoned to death,” the court heard.

“There was a great deal of concern that Ann Widdecombe, who was booked in to do an interview for Channel 5 later that lunchtime, didn’t call in as planned for that, and eventually her PA had asked her gardener to go round and check on Ann Widdecombe.

“He went through an open front door, found Ann Widdecombe lying with very significant head injuries in the kitchen, but she was obviously pronounced dead by the ambulance service a short time later.

“This man, Joshua Kerry, appeared in court number one at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. He wore a grey prison-issue tracksuit. As is customary, he spoke only to confirm his name, his date of birth and his home address in Rotherham.

“He was remanded back into custody, this time to appear at the crown court, the Old Bailey, this afternoon.”
