BREAKING: Beckhams just made ultimate checkmate – Harry and Meghan will be furious

David and Victoria Beckham appear to have sided with the Prince and Princess of Wales amidst the ongoing royal feud – and it’s got to sting. The Beckhams, who are currently facing their own family drama with their eldest son, Brooklyn, have distanced themselves from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in recent years.
And now, in what appears to be the ultimate revenge move, David and his sons, Romeo and Cruz, enjoyed a highly publicised photo op with Prince William and Princess Kate at the Digger world premiere in London. In footage circulating online, a smiling William can be seen chatting to David after posing for photographs. Meanwhile, Kate, who dazzled in a purple Jenny Packham gown, spoke with Romeo and Cruz.
A visual and physical pledge of allegiance, the Beckhams seem to have well and truly turned their backs on Meghan and Harry, who, after failing to crack Hollywood and seemingly burning bridges with fellow A-listers, have been accused of retreating back to the UK. Let’s face it, it’s not a good look.
Responding to the viral clip, viewers on X remarked that the Beckhams’ move will have come as a crushing blow to the Sussexes. “Plates are smashing in the Cotswolds,” quipped one, referring to Harry and Meghan’s recent move to the region. “This will send Meghan into overdrive,” noted a second.
While the current state of relations between the Beckhams and Sussexes is unknown, the two families have clearly grown apart. Various reports have alleged that in 2018, Meghan came across leaked stories and suspected Victoria of being behind them, an accusation that Harry mentioned to David, causing no end of awkwardness.

The very idea that Victoria – a former Spice Girl and one of the biggest names in fashion – would need to leak stories about Meghan feels ridiculous in itself. What would the end goal be?
In the years since their reported rift, David and Victoria have kept up their support for Kate and William, while spending considerably less time with Harry and Meghan – a move that’s clearly paid off, given the Sussexes’ loss of public support over Spare and their tell-all Netflix series.
Meanwhile, the Sussexes, who moved to California in 2020, are struggling more than ever with their personal branding. After several flops at Archewell, Harry’s failed lawsuit, Uganda’s withdrawal from the 2027 Invictus Games, and King Charles’ clarification that they are “private citizens,” Meghan and Harry aren’t exactly thriving right now.

In contrast, as their star power seemingly dwindles, the Beckhams’ ultra-glam reunion with the Waleses and mega A-lister Tom Cruise proves that they’re on top of the world.
After allegedly being accused of leaking stories, it feels like the ultimate checkmate from David and Victoria to so visibly show their support for William and Kate, while proving that their family is more popular and relevant than ever. They don’t need Meghan and Harry to increase their own status, and they certainly don’t need to leak stories to the press; this is the house of Beckham, and they’re doing just fine on their own, thank you.
