William and Harry Tipped for Public Reunion at Major Diana Milestone Despite Royal Rift

Prince William and Prince Harry could appear together publicly next year to mark the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, according to royal author Robert Jobson.

The landmark anniversary falls on August 31, 2027, three decades after Diana died in a car crash in Paris at the age of 36.

Her death had a profound effect on William and Harry, who were only 15 and 12 when they walked behind their mother’s coffin during her funeral procession.

The brothers are now believed to be estranged following years of tension and a series of allegations made by Harry about his experiences within the Royal Family.

However, Jobson believes the importance of their mother’s anniversary could ultimately bring them onto “the same stage”, even if their personal relationship remains unresolved.

“The 30th anniversary is going to be quite significant, I think,” the royal author said.

Jobson suggested Harry has become increasingly involved in preserving parts of his mother’s legacy, pointing to the Duke’s work connected with landmines and his visit to Angola.

“The ownership of the Diana legacy is something I think Harry has been really pursuing,” he claimed. “He’s been to Angola, he’s done more stuff in landmines as well.”

The commentator believes organisers will eventually need to find a way for both brothers to participate in events commemorating Diana.

“There’s going to be a moment where there has to be some form of arrangement for the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death,” he continued. “How can they not be together?”

‘They have to be on the same stage’

Jobson went further by predicting that William and Harry would need to make a joint appearance despite the difficulties between them.

“They have to be on the same stage,” he said.

However, he suggested Harry’s attempts to play a more prominent role in protecting Diana’s legacy could cause further friction with William.

“I think that we’re going to see more of Harry trying to take over the ownership of Diana’s legacy, which is bound to irritate his brother,” Jobson claimed.

No joint appearance has been announced, and Jobson’s comments remain a prediction rather than confirmation that the brothers have agreed to attend any event together.

The speculation follows Harry’s return to Britain with Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet more than six years after the Sussexes established a new life in the United States.

The family arrived from California aboard a private aircraft shortly before midday on Wednesday, landing at Birmingham Airport after an overnight flight.

They reportedly travelled on a Bombardier Global Express XRS, a luxury long-range business jet.

Harry and Meghan are expected to remain private citizens and non-working members of the Royal Family. Their return is not understood to involve any change to their formal status or the restoration of their previous royal duties.

Harry’s return increases pressure on William

Jobson suggested William may have felt “slightly aghast” after learning that his younger brother was returning to Britain.

Reports indicate that the Prince of Wales was staying at Balmoral Castle in Scotland with King Charles when the news became public.

“The prodigal son coming back will be difficult for him,” Jobson said. “Harry’s move puts pressure on him to act in a more pragmatic way.”

It remains unclear whether Harry’s physical return to the UK will lead to any improvement in the brothers’ relationship. They are reportedly not speaking, and neither man has publicly confirmed plans for reconciliation.

Diana’s 30th anniversary could nevertheless create a rare occasion on which both are expected to honour the same deeply personal legacy.

Further attention will surround the milestone after Diana’s brother, Earl Charles Spencer, announced that he is releasing a memoir titled Swan Song in her memory.

Whether William and Harry ultimately share a stage remains uncertain. But with the anniversary approaching, questions about how they will commemorate their mother without allowing their feud to overshadow the occasion are likely to intensify.
