“We had this fantastic example, we should say, of the Prince and Princess of Wales, keep calm and carry on last night,” she said.
Bower agreed, replying: “It was marvellous.”
He then turned his attention to Harry and Meghan.
“One can imagine in the Cotswolds this morning, the Sussexes are pulling their hair out with envy and anger,” he claimed.
No evidence was presented to show that Harry or Meghan were actually reacting in that way, and Bower’s comments represented his own interpretation of the situation.
He went on to suggest that more public appearances by William and Kate could shift attention away from the Sussexes.
“Of course, it’s business as usual,” he said.
“And hopefully the Wales’s will appear a lot more to snap the oxygen out of the Sussexes’ campaign against the Royal Family.”
